"19th Annual Art at the Crossroads - Open Regional Show" This exhibition will feature a diverse range of artist media and style. Numerous artists from around the region will be represented. The show is always an exciting one to see, as we usually have the best of the best enter. This year will not be any different as we have already received many amazing and beautiful pieces. The show is also a favorite of our guests as they can take part and vote for The People's Choice winner! Ash Grove Cement is generously sponsoring $1000 in artist awards and the Northwest Pastel Society is sponsoring an $100 award for the best pastel. Cory Peeke, professor of art at Eastern Oregon University will be the show judge. "Crossroads is very excited to see the various and diverse artwork that will be entered and being able to provide Baker County the opportunity to view various ceramic, sculpture, multimedia, paintings, photography, 2D and 3D artwork" state's Kristin Hauter, Community Art Director at Crossroads Carnegie Art Center. Exhibition is on display Friday September 1st through Saturday September 30th, 2017. Location: Crossroads Carnegie Art Center - 2020 Auburn Ave., Baker City, OR 97814 Opening reception: Friday, September 1st, 2017 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm During Historic Baker City's First Friday Art Walk. Award Presentation begins at 5:30pm. The People's Choice Award is announced around 7:45pm Informal talk and critique for participating artist in the gallery Saturday September 2nd from 9:00 to 11:00am, light breakfast refreshments provided.
