Open Painting Studio

Open Painting Studio welcomes all media and all skill levels. Paint or draw with others; share knowledge, skills and experience; receive positive feedback. Age 18 and over. Each Thursday (except holidays) Noon to 3:00 p.m.. Only $5/month.

Dance and Movement

Ballet I

Students learn combination stretch along with some modern basic balleT technique featuring traditional and new songs. Enjoy finding rhythm with instrumental jams and movement activities. Students will need ballet slippers, leotard and tights (call for sources).

Debbie has more than 20 years experience instructing Ballet and Dance and has been at Crossroads for many years. Debbie is director of ArtSpeak, a program that reaches out to impoverished and at-risk children and families.

Tymmera has studied Tribal Belly Dance since 1999 under Gypsy Caravan in Portland, Oregon, and has been instructing dance classes in Richland, Halfway and Crossroads since 2002. She also teaches dance and pottery at The Flying Camel.

Class emphasis is on the exercise and stress reduction benefits of this form. Tai Chi stretches and warm-ups will be included, along with Chi Gung and breathing exercises.
