CALL TO ARTISTS for 2011 Featured Artist Schedule
Crossroads Carnegie Art Center invites artists and artist collaborative groups to submit work to be considered as a “featured artist” for the 2011 calendar year. Featured artists need to have an established body of work; we will consider work in all mediums. In some circumstances we like to partner a 2-D artist with a 3-D artist. We highly encourage artist groups and collaborative work. Established, professional artists will be considered for an individual show.
Submissions are to be received by April 1, 2010. They may be mailed to Crossroads Carnegie Art Center, 2020 Auburn Ave., Baker City, OR 97814, or e-mailed to Cynthia Newman at xrdsart@qwestoffice.net. For more information contact Cynthia at (541) 523-5369.
ENTRIES:
Images of 6-10 recent works of art may be submitted for consideration. Submissions will be made from digital images on CD (pdf format), accompanied by a listing of the title, medium, year and size of each work. The CD should be marked clearly with the artist’s name and individual files should be labeled with the title of the work. CDs will not be returned. Please include a resume and biography.
GROUP SUBMISSIONS:
Group submissions and collaborative work is encouraged. Submissions will include digital images of 5 recent works of art created by each participating artist. Each artist will provide a resume and biography. A proposal describing the theme of the exhibit will be submitted.
SALES:
Sales are encouraged, although artists may display a limited number of works that are not for sale. Crossroads Carnegie Art Center retains a 30% commission on all artwork sold during the exhibition, including custom sales facilitated during the exhibition.
