Moca Ena (Mother Earth) features the work of Barbara Lee Wilbur and C.H. Lore Edison. Barbara's work is inspired by the black pottery of Mexico, and the most basic and primitive styles from the tribes of Africa and the Southwestern Indians. Edison's work is informed from teachers, Native Americans, and the cloud formations in the Dakotas. Enjoy music by Star Nation.

Celebrate the diverse artistic talents of these mothers and daughters. Please join Rebecca Mancino Litke, Curator; Jennifer Godwin and daughter, Abbey; Marci Cook and daughter, Deanna Camp; Ivy Wrenden and daughters Minden and Keegan; and Judy Perkins and daughter, Tracy Case.




March: Diana Dominquez and Dennis Frappier

Diana is a native of Puerto Rico. She says that, "Art has always been a part of who I am, and I knew eventually I would devote myself to it." Dennis would call himself and "expressionist." He does not just draw subjects; he draws them with attitiude. There will also be a sale of pottery to benefit Leukemia research.

February: "Thursday Therapy"

Artwork presented by a group of artists who meet at Crossroads Open Studio every Thursday: Ann Eriksmoen,
Nanci Sheppard, Sue Orlaske, and Kathy Vaughn. They are known locally as "The Painting Ladies."

January: Ed Flemister

This month's show is "Dead Reckoning: Images from around the globe of the Last Alaskan Bush Pilot." Phillip Charette will curate the show featuring Flemister's photography and some of this early oil paintings. Flemister's wife, Wanda, is a poet, and her work will be featured, as well.
