Recommended ages: 5 - 10

Young Artists' Studio Join anytime. Classes are Fridays – June 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th July 5th, 12th, 26th (no class July 19th) August 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th Time: 1:45 pm – 3:45 pm Age 10 and UP (students younger than 10 are welcome to come and see if this class will work for them) Cost: $15 per session for members/$22.50 per session for non-members, or 4 sessions for $50 for members/ 2 4 sessions for $75 for non-member. Note: Occasionally, Paul does have students work in clay; parents will need to pay for clay and firing charges. Ask instructor for details. Maximum: 10 Class Description: Young people come to an open studio setting to learn and refine artistic skills with artist instructor Paul Hoelscher. The idea behind this ongoing class is to help young people make art the way that most interests them, with an artist who believes that everyone is artistic and who has enough personal experience to be supportive of many media and techniques. Media include acrylic, oil, and watercolor paint, soft and oil pastels, charcoal, graphite, conte`, colored pencil and clay sculpture. Come and create – the sky’s the limit!

Recycle It – Flowers, Critters, and More! Instructor: Ginger Rembold Date/Time: January 2, 2020 1:00pm – 3:30pm Location: Downstairs Studio Minimum # of students 2 Maximum # of students 12 Age Requirement: Children ages 6-10 should bring an adult with them Cost: members - $10 individual or $20 for a family/nonmembers - $15 individual or $30 for a family Course Description: Workshop atmosphere to explore creative ways to use a variety of recycled plastics, metals, woods, you name it! Kids may create monsters, while adults make flowers – the sky is the limit! Bring some ‘recyclables’ to share and a creative mind.

Beginner Ballet 1 – Ages 6-9 years Instructor: Debbie Friedman Dates: Wednesdays – January 8 – February 19 (no class January 22) Time: 4:15 – 5:15pm Age Requirements: 6 - 9 years Min #of students: 5 Max # of Students: 10 Supplies: Tights, leotard & ballet slippers Course cost: $48 for members/$72 for non-members (6 hours of instruction) This class is all about basic classical ballet technique for young beginning dancers. We will focus on standard positions and simple movements at the barre, in center and across the floor. This is a great opportunity to explore musicality and self expression while building strength and gaining flexibility and confidence.

Advanced Beginner Ballet – Ages 8-12 years Instructor: Debbie Friedman Dates: Thursday, January 9 – February 20 (No class on January 23) Time: 4:15 – 5:15pm Age Requirements: 8 - 12 years (1-2 years previous training) Min #of students: 5 Max # of Students: 10 Supplies: Tights, leotard & ballet slippers Course cost: $48 for members/$72 for non-members (12 hours of instruction) This class will prepare dancers for more complex movements and some choreography but will still focus on correct placement and ballet technique. Strength, flexibility, fluidity and design/line components will all be included in this expression of the “inner ballerina”
