“First Friday” Gallery Events

February 5: First Friday Featuring the Photography of Shane Alderson and Sandy Young with her Dolls, Gourds and Jewelry. Dan and Jo Warnock, honoring Beef Month, will have samples of wonderful locally raised beef, and Leon Brown will provide the music.

March 5: First Friday featuring Batik Watercolorist Denise Elizabeth Stone and Jewelry maker Suzanne Achilles.

February:
Alderson and Young
     

Alderson and Young

Opens Friday, February 5th
at 6pm.

The February First Friday Art Exhibit features the photography of Shane Alderson and the ethnic art of Sandy Young. Sandy works in gourd art and fabric sculpture. After a professional career, Shane's life-long interest in photography led him to travel North America, focusing on a wide range of subjects. We will also be enjoyng the music of Leon Brown, and celebrating Beef Month, with beef samples from Warnock Ranches.

January:
Watercolor Exhibition     

Oregon Watercolor Society

Opens Friday, January 1st
at 6pm.

The 44th Annual Transparent Exhibition of the Oregon Watercolor Society features the 21 top award-winning paintings by Oregon artists. The competition leading up to this traveling show was juried by nationally known artist, Robbie Laird. These 21 inspiring works of art are not to be missed.

December:
Holiday Festivities     

Christmas at Crossroads

Opens Friday, November 27th
at 6pm for Crossroads members, and Saturday, November 28th for the entire community.

There will be a sneak preview of the Christmas Show for Crossroads members only, on November 17 at 6:00 pm. The Show will then be open to the entire community starting Saturday, November 28th, through Christmas Eve. On December, 4th, the First Friday event will feature music by Larry Lambeth.




November:
Linda M. Peterson
and Bruce Countryman
     

Love of the Land

Opens Friday, November 6th
at 6pm.

Linda Peterson says, "As you review my artwork, one can see that I return again and again to textures of trees, boulders, water, mountains, flowers, and the layered vistas of Eastern Oregon."

Bruce Countryman has been a woodworking hobbyist for the past 20 years. His work has been on display at Crossroads for the past three years.

October: Tom Dimond 

    

Tom Dimond: "Still Playing with Fire"

Opens Friday, October 2nd
at 6pm

Tom recently retired from 34 years of teaching at Eastern Oregon University where he concentrated on classes in jewelry design, ceramic and glass. His work depicts regional themes and impresions. Tom says, "The inherent beauty of the pristine landscapes found in Northeast Oregon provide consistent inspiration for my work."

September: Art at the Crossroads   

Art at the Crossroads

Opens Friday, September 4th at 6pm

This will be our 11th Annual Open Regional Art Show and Edible Art Competition.

Cash and ribbons will be awarded in all categories as well as Best of Show by our judge, Tom Dimond. A People’s Choice award will also be selected by those attending the opening reception. An Edible Art Competition will be held in conjunction with the art exhibit. Click here for information.
